El Pilar is located in north-central Sonora, Mexico, approximately 15 km south of the international border with the United States, and approximately 45 kilometers from Southern Copper’s Buenavista mine.
In February 2022, the results of a S-K 1300 Technical Report Feasibility Study were published, which outlined an open pit oxide copper mine producing copper cathode with a mine life of 15 years and average annual copper production of approximately 60 million pounds of copper at a total operating cost of US$1.84/lb.
